- 2 Non-slip rubber pads
- Rubber slips in various sizes (for different bar sizes)
- 4 x 1.75-inch mounting rings
- 4 x 2-inch mounting rings
- 4 washers, 4 nuts, and 4 screws
- Aux cable
- RGB extension cord (for LED synchronization)
- Wire harness (for power and speaker connections)
- Wireless remote control (for LED functions)
- Allen key (for swivel mount adjustments)
Step 1: Understanding the Connections on the Active Speaker
The active speaker includes the following inputs and outputs:
- RCA Line Output – Connects to an external amplifier, powered speakers, or subwoofers.
- Aux Input – Allows you to play music from external devices using an aux cable.
- Wire Harness Input – Used for connecting the speakers to your vehicle or external battery.
Step 2: Mounting the Speakers to a Roll Bar
- Adjust the Swivel Brackets
- Use the Allen key to remove the two outer screws on the swivel bracket.
- Loosen the middle screw to adjust the speaker’s position.
- Rotate the bracket to the desired position, then re-tighten the screws to lock it in place.
- Attach the Non-Slip Rubber Pad
- Peel off the adhesive backing and place the rubber pad on the bracket.
- This prevents the speakers from slipping or rotating on the bar.
- Choose the Correct Mounting Rings
- 1.75-inch rings for smaller bars.
- 2-inch rings for larger bars.
- Insert rubber slips inside the rings to ensure a snug fit.
- Mount the Speakers
- Place the mounting rings onto the roll bar.
- Align the speaker bracket between the two rings.
- Slide the rings onto the speaker brackets so that the holes align.
- Secure the speaker using the screws, washers, and nuts.
- The grooves on the back of the rings will hold the nuts in place as you tighten the screws.
Repeat these steps to mount the second speaker.
Step 3: Connecting the Speakers Together
- Connect the Wire Harness to the Active Speaker
- Plug the wire harness into the wire harness input on the back of the active speaker.
- Ensure the wire colors match the connection points on the speaker.
- Connect the Passive Speaker to the Active Speaker
- Take the gray wire (positive) and plug it into the positive push terminal on the passive speaker.
- Take the black wire (negative) and plug it into the negative push terminal on the passive speaker.
Step 4: Powering the Speakers
Option 1: Connecting to a Vehicle Battery
- Connect the Yellow Wire to the Positive (+) terminal of your vehicle’s battery.
- Connect the Black Wire to the Negative (-) terminal or the metal chassis of the vehicle.
- Connect the Red Wire to the 12V ignition switch – this ensures the speakers power on/off with the vehicle.
- (Optional) Connect the Blue Wire to another powered device (e.g., subwoofer or amplifier) so it powers on with the PT525BRs.
Option 2: Connecting to an External Battery
- Connect the Yellow and Red Wires to the Positive (+) terminal of the battery.
- Connect the Black Wire to the Negative (-) terminal of the battery.
Since we’re only powering the speakers, the blue wire is not needed in this setup.
Step 5: Setting Up LED Lighting
- Connect the RGB Extension Cable
- Plug one end into the RGB cable on the back of the active speaker.
- Plug the other end into the RGB cable on the passive speaker.
- Ensure the arrows on both RGB cables are correctly aligned.
- Use the Wireless Remote Control to Adjust LED Settings
- Power Button – Turns the LED lights on/off.
- Demo Mode – Cycles through red, green, and blue automatically.
- Mode Buttons – Choose between different fade and strobe effects.
- Speed Buttons – Adjust how fast colors change in fade mode.
- Color Buttons – Set static colors (red, blue, green, yellow, purple, teal, orange, and more).
- Brightness Buttons – Adjust the brightness of the LED lights.
Step 6: Pairing Bluetooth and Playing Music
- Turn on the speakers.
- Open your smartphone’s Bluetooth settings.
- Look for PT525 in the list of available devices.
- Tap on PT525 to pair.
- You’ll hear a confirmation sound when pairing is successful.
Note:
- If an aux cable is connected, Bluetooth audio will not play until Bluetooth is disconnected from your phone.
Step 7: Playing Music and Adjusting Volume
- Stream music via Bluetooth or connect a device through the aux input.
- Use the volume controls on your phone or device to adjust audio levels.

Your Rockville PT525BR Powered Bluetooth LED Roll Bar Speakers are now fully set up and ready to go! Whether you’re mounting them on an ATV, UTV, boat, or truck, these speakers provide clear sound, customizable lighting, and wireless connectivity for an amazing audio experience.
