This guide provides easy, step-by-step instructions on how to set up and operate your Rockville Best PAR 60 Rechargeable PAR Wash Light. Whether using it for wall washing, truss mounting or totem illumination, you'll have everything clearly explained... even if you have no prior technical experience.

Setup Guide
A.) Using the Light Without the Bracket
Totem Stand Setup:
- Lift the scrim of your totem stand.
- Place the Best PAR 60 inside, facing upwards.
- Lower the scrim back down.
Wall Wash Setup:
- Place right up against the wall facing upwards.
B.) Wall Washing or Truss Hanging Using the Bracket
Attach the Mounting Bracket:
- Place washers onto the included knobs.
- Feed the knobs through holes on sides the bracket.
- Tighten securely onto both sides of the light.
Wall Wash Setup:
- Angle the bracket downward and spread the bracket handles so they support the fixture on the floor.
- Place the light on the floor support by the bracket.
- Adjust the angle and distance from the wall to achieve the desired effect.
- Ensure the bracket knobs are tightened so the light stays in place.
Truss / Pole Mount Setup:
To mount the Best PAR 60 on a truss, speaker stand pole or other available surface, you’ll need a lighting clamp (e.g., Rockville LC70: Heavy Duty C-Clamp).
- Remove the hex-bolt from the lighting clamp.
- Insert the bolt through the holes on both brackets so the threads are facing outward (away from the light).
- Align the screw hole on the outside of the clamp with the threads from the bolt.
- Secure the clamp onto the bracket by tightening the bolt.
- Loosen the clamp’s butterfly screw until wider than truss / pole diameter.
- Position the clamp on your truss or speaker stand pole.
- Tighten the butterfly screw to lock the light in place.
Pro Tip: Since the Best PAR H2O is wireless, no power cables are needed when mounting.
C.) Powering Your Best PAR 60
- Turn on the light using the POWER switch on the back.
- Your Best PAR 60 may also have a separate BATTERY switch.
- Note: For older models the BATTERY switch has to be activated for wireless function.
D.) Navigating the Menus
Use the buttons beneath the LED screen to navigate:
- UP / DOWN: Navigate through menu options or adjust values.
- ENTER: Select or adjust settings.
- MENU: Go back to previous page.
E.) Operating Menus / Modes and Features
Dmx512
- Used to set up lights for DMX control.
- Set DMX Address.
- See Section F below for more details.
Shows
- Used to access preset auto-modes:
- Auto Color: Cycles through colors automatically.
- Auto Fade: Smooth transitions between colors.
- Auto Sudden: Sudden transitions / Pulse between colors.
- Auto Strobe: Flashes colors at adjustable speeds.
- Select Mode, press ENTER, then use UP / DOWN buttons to adjust speed for Auto Modes.
Sound
- Choose between Sound-Activated Modes:
- Sound Mode1: Light changes between solid colors quickly with sound.
- Sound Mode2: Light strobes to the tempo of the sound.
- Sound Mode3: Pulses colors to music beats.
- Sound Mode4: Cycles through all sound-activated modes.
- Select Mode, press ENTER, then use UP / DOWN buttons to adjust sensitivity for Sound Modes.
Color
- Custom Color: Create customized colors using Red, Green, Blue, White, Yellow and Ultraviolet color pallet with 0 ~ 100% settings for each.
- Static Color: Select from 32 preset colors
Set
- Various settings for the light:
- Dmx channel: Select between 6-Channel and 10-Channel DMX Modes.
- 2.4g wireless: Activate / Deactivate Wireless DMX function.
- Infrared: Activate / Deactivate IR Remote response.
- Display backlight: Control brightness of LCD (display).
- Lcd Close time: Control how long LCD (display) stays active for.
- Fan speed: Controls timer for internal cooling fan.
- Restore factory: Restores Best PAR 60 to factory settings.
- MANUAL: Set brightness brightness for individual color LEDs.
- Temperature: Display internal temperature.
- Battery: Activate / Deactivate Battery Life Display.
- BackGroundColor: Sets background color for menus.

F.) Controlling Lights with DMX
Wireless DMX Setup:
Rockville Wireless DMX Controller (RockForce W2 / RockForce W4) or Wireless DMX Transmitter (DMX-WTR) connected to any DMX controller (or computer control interface) required.

Activate Wireless DMX on Controller / Transmitter
- Set the controller or transmitter to the desired RF group color (Red, Green, Yellow, Blue).

Match Color Group on Light
- Press the Wireless DMX Signal button on your light to match the your wireless transmitter or controller’s Wireless DMX Color Code.

Verify Connection
- The wireless DMX signal LED will flash green on your lights once successfully paired.

Select DMX Channel Mode
- Use the Up / Down buttons to navigate to the Set menu.
- Press Enter to modify the setting.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to navigate to the Dmx channel menu.
- Press the Enter button to select Channel mode.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to choose between 6CH and 10CH:
- 6-Channel Mode: Controls each color separately for manual color blending.
- 10-Channel Mode: Controls each color separately for manual color blending + auto-functions and strobe.
- Press Enter to save.

Turn off 2.4GHz Mode
- Use the Up / Down buttons to navigate to the Set menu.
- Press Enter to modify the setting.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to navigate to the 2.4g wireless menu.
- Press Enter to modify the setting.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to select OFF.
- Press Enter to save.
- Connect a DMX cable from the controller's DMX Out to the first light's DMX In.

Daisy chain additional Best PAR 60 Lights using DMX cables.
- Connect a DMX cable from the DMX Out on the previously connected light, to the DMX In on another light.
- Repeat this process for each light being connected with DMX cable to the controller.

G.) Setting Up Master/Slave Mode
Wireless Master/Slave Setup:

Set the lights to the same DMX Channel mode
- Use the Up / Down buttons to navigate to the Set menu.
- Press Enter to modify the setting.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to navigate to the Dmx channel menu.
- Press the Enter button to select Channel mode.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to choose 10CH.
- Press Enter to save.

Match Wireless DMX Signal Color Group on Lights
- Press the Wireless DMX Signal button on the Master Light to select a wireless channel color (e.g. Red).
- Press the Wireless DMX signal button on each Slave Light to select the same wireless DMX color code (e.g. Red).

Set the Slave lights to the same DMX address
- Use the Up / Down buttons to navigate to the Dmx512 menu.
- Press Enter to modify the setting.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to set the address to A001.
- Press Enter to save.
- Once connected the Master should have a solid LED indicator, and the Slaves a flashing LED indicator.

The Master controls Slaves automatically
- Settings can be selected manually on Master Light to control Best PAR 60 Lights.
- IR Remote can also be pointed at Master Light (IR sensor on back near display) to control Best PAR 60 Lights.
Wired Master/Slave Setup:
3-Pin DMX Cable (1 per Slave Light) required for this.
- Using DMX Cable(s):
- Connect from the DMX Out of the Master to the DMX In on another Best PAR 60; the Slave.
- For additional Slaves; connect the DMX Out of the previous connected Slave to another another Best PAR 60.
- Repeat the previous step for additional Best PAR 60 Slave Lights..
- Set all lights to the same DMX address.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to navigate to the Dmx512 menu.
- Press Enter to modify the setting.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to set the address to A001.
- Press Enter to save.
- Master’s settings will automatically control all connected slave lights.
- Settings can be selected manually on Master Light to control Best PAR 60 Lights.
- IR Remote can also be pointed at Master Light (IR sensor on back near display) to control Best PAR 60 Lights.

- Ensure the lights and controller are set to the same wireless DMX color group.
