Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Mount the Power Supply
- Start by aligning the two holes on each side of the RDF-9U with the available holes in your rack mount or rack bag.
- Secure the power supply by using two screws on each side to lock it into place.
2. Remove the Feet (Optional)
- If you need additional space or a better fit in your rack, you can remove the feet from the bottom of the RDF-9U.
- Use the included screws to remove the feet and make the unit fit more seamlessly with other rack gear.
3. Use Threaded Adapter Pieces (Optional)
- For a more secure fit in the rack, you can use the threaded adapter pieces. These pieces help align the power supply with the rack holes more easily.
4. Prepare the Power Supply
- The RDF-9U features 9 power outlets and a USB output for powering USB devices.
- Before plugging your gear into the outlets, ensure that the power switch on the RDF-9U is in the "off" position for safety.
5. Connect Your Gear
- Plug your devices into the available outlets on the RDF-9U. Each outlet is clearly numbered on the front and back, allowing you to easily track which device is connected to which outlet.
- For this setup, we are using channels 1 and 2, but you can connect as many devices as needed.
6. Turn On the Power Supply
- After plugging in your gear, flip the power switch to the "on" position to activate the power supply.
- All your connected devices should now turn on, ready for use.
7. Resettable Circuit Breaker
- On the back of the RDF-9U, there is a resettable 15A circuit breaker. This is designed to protect your gear in case of overload.
- If the power supply goes into protection mode, simply use the circuit breaker to reset it.
Conclusion
Setting up the Rockville RDF-9U Rack Mount Power Supply is simple and ensures that all your rack-mounted gear gets the power it needs during events and recording sessions. Whether you're setting up for a live performance, studio session, or traveling gig, this power supply is a reliable solution.
