D4-70: How To Set Up, Wire & Install

Step-by-Step Installation

1. Mounting the Speaker

1.1 Marking the Mounting Location

1. Position the base of the bracket on the wall where you want to install the speaker.
2. Use a pencil to mark the four screw holes.
3. Avoid screwing into studs—instead, place screws into sheetrock so the anchors can properly grip.

1.2 Assembling the Bracket

1. Take the base plate and the bracket and line up the stamped sections.
2. Remove the nut from the bolt with the metal sleeve, ensuring the washer remains on the bolt.
3. Align the metal sleeve inside the base, matching the holes with the bracket.
4. Insert the bolt through the stamped bracket and metal sleeve.
5. Secure it with the nut on the opposite side, but do not fully tighten yet—final adjustments will be made later.

1.3 Installing the Bracket on the Wall

1. Drill holes in the marked spots using a drill bit large enough for the wall anchors.
2. Insert the anchors into the drilled holes.
3. Line up the bracket base with the wall holes.
4. Secure the top two screws first, using a drill gun.
5. Lift the bracket slightly, then secure the bottom two screws.

2. Attaching the Speaker to the Bracket

1. Adjust the bracket to your preferred height and position.
2. Hold the nut in place with pliers or a wrench while using the Allen key to tighten the bolt.
3. Line up the speaker’s mounting holes with the bracket’s holes.
4. Insert a screw knob through the bottom hole and tighten it.
5. Insert the top screw knob and tighten it.
