Setting Up Your Mini RF1 Lights
Step 1: Ensure Remote Compatibility
- Set the light to Pink Mode to enable remote control functionality.
- If the light is not in Pink Mode, the remote will not work.
Lighting Setup Options
1. Wall Washing
- Option 1: Use Rubber Feet
- Place the light flush against the wall to shine directly upward.
- Option 2: Use the Bracket
- Position the light a few inches from the wall and angle it for the desired effect.
2. Truss Mounting
To mount the Mini RF1 on a truss, you will need a Rockville LC70 lighting clamp.
Steps to Attach the Clamp:
- Remove the bolt piece from the bottom of the light.
- Align the clamp’s holes with the bracket holes.
- Reinsert and tighten the bolt to secure the clamp.
- Loosen the clamp screw, attach it to the truss, and tighten to lock it in place.
Tip: Since the Mini RF1 is battery-powered (10-15 hours per charge), no power cables are required for mounting!
3. Totem Stand or DJ Facade Illumination
- Totem Stand:
- Lift the scrim and place the light in the center of the totem stand.
- Bracket removal recommended for a cleaner look.
- DJ Facade:
- Position the light flush inside the DJ facade.
- Use multiple lights for a stronger effect.
4. Table or Bottle Lighting
- Perfect for bars, parties, and events.
- Bracket removal recommended for a sleeker, elegant look.
Operating the Mini RF1
Turning the Light On and Selecting Modes
- Press the middle button to power on the light.
- Use the button next to it to cycle through the different modes.
- The LED indicator next to the mode button will change colors based on the mode selected:

Controlling the Mini RF1 with the Wireless Remote
Once the light is in Pink Mode, the wireless remote can be used to:
- Change Colors:
- Red, Green, Blue, White, Amber, Ultraviolet
- Access Color Variations:
- Use the Up/Down arrows to select variations.
- Select Preset Modes:
- Auto Mode, Fade Mode, Snap/Pulse Mode, Sound Mode, Strobe Mode
- Adjust Strobe Colors:
- Select a color first, then press Strobe Mode.
- Control Speed:
- Use the Up/Down buttons to adjust mode speed.
- Turn Lights On/Off:
- Control all lights in sync with one remote.
Using Wireless DMX Control
Setting Up Wireless DMX Mode
- Set the lights to Light Blue Mode (Secondary/Wireless DMX Mode).
- Turn on the DMX Controller:
- Flip the main power switch and the DMX output switch.
- Ensure the DMX Controller is set to Red Mode (to communicate with the Mini RF1).
- Press Scanner 1 to control the lights using the faders.

Syncing Multiple Lights with Wireless Master-Slave Mode
- Set the slave light(s) to Light Blue Mode.
- Choose the Master Light and set it to the desired mode (e.g., Cycle Mode).
- Hold down the Mode button for three seconds on the Master Light.
- The LED next to the mode button will start flashing, and the Slave Light(s) will sync automatically.
- Any changes made to the Master Light will be reflected on the Slave Light(s).
