How to Set Up and Use Your Rockville PLX12 Powered Speaker

Speaker Placement and Mounting

Mounting the Speaker on a Stand

The PLX12 can be mounted on any standard 35mm speaker stand.

To mount the speaker:

  1. Locate the 35mm pole mount on the bottom of the speaker. 
  2. Choose the speaker angle: 
    • 0° Setting — Straight position 
    • 7.5° Setting — Downward angle 
  3. Line up the pole mount with the top of the speaker stand. 
  4. Carefully lower the speaker onto the stand. 

Using the Speaker as a Floor Monitor

You can place the speaker on the floor in monitor position for stage monitoring applications.

Fly Mounting Option

The speaker includes 12M8 fly points for suspended installation if needed.

Powering On the Speaker

Turn the Speaker On

  1. Connect the included power cable to the speaker. 
  2. Plug the cable into a power outlet. 
  3. Locate the power switch on the rear panel.

Understanding the DSP Menu

The PLX12 includes a built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processor) for audio customization.

TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Pairing

TWS allows two PLX12 speakers to play Bluetooth audio wirelessly together.

Important

TWS only works with Bluetooth audio. It does not work with microphones or analog inputs.

How to Pair Two PLX12 Speakers

  1. Turn on both speakers. 
  2. Enter the DSP menu on both speakers. 
  3. Open: 
    • Setup 
    • Bluetooth 
  4. Turn Bluetooth on for both speakers. 
  5. On one speaker, select “TWS Pairing”. 
  6. Wait for pairing confirmation: 
    • Flashing “C” above Bluetooth icon 
    • Solid “S” below Bluetooth icon 
  7. Pair your phone to the speaker named “PLX-12”. 
  8. Raise Channel One volume on both speakers. 

Once connected, audio from your Bluetooth device will play through both speakers.

Delay Settings

The Delay menu helps synchronize speakers, subwoofers, or mixers.

Adjusting Delay

  1. Open the Delay menu. 
  2. Select Delay Time. 
  3. Rotate the knob to adjust timing. 
  4. Press Enter to save. 

You can also change delay units within the menu.

Resetting and Updating the Speaker

  2. Select Reset.

No Sound from the Speaker
