Important Safety Instructions

• To reduce risk of electric shock, never open the unit. There are no user serviceable parts.
• Do not expose this unit water.

Functions

1. Bass control knob
2. Treble control knob
3. Microphone echo control knob
4. Microphone volume control knob
5. Mode button: Used to switch between BT, FM, AUX, SD, and USB modes.
6. Play/Pause button: Press to play/pause music in BT, SD, USB, and AUX modes. In FM mode, press and hold to automatically scan and store FM stations.
7. Repeat button (USB/SD only): Press to repeat current song. You will see a repeat icon at the top right-hand corner of the LCD display. Press the button a second time to exit repeat mode.
8. EQ button (USB/SD only): Switch between indoor and outdoor sound modes.
9. Numerical buttons (USB/SD only): Used to select desired tracks.

12. Previous/Next buttons): press to navigate tracks or press and hold to adjust volume while in BT, SD, and USB modes. In FM mode, press to manually search stations in single digit increments or press and hold to navigate stored stations.

13. Charging port: Use included 12.6V adapter to charge the unit. Charging time is approximately 5 – 6 hours for a full charge.

Operation

Bluetooth Pairing

1. When the speaker is powered on it automatically enters Bluetooth pairing mode (unless there is a USB drive or SD card inserted). The screen will show “bLUE” blinking rapidly and you will hear a voice prompt alerting you that the ROCKBOX is ready to pair.

2. Ensure your device is in Bluetooth mode and discoverable.

3. Under list of available devices search for and select ROCKBOX.

4. You will hear a voice prompt alerting you that pairing has been successful.

Please note, after initial pairing, if the unit is turned off and back on again, it will automatically connect to the last paired device.

Bluetooth Playback

1. Press the Play/Pause buttons to start and stop music playback.

2. Press the Previous/Next buttons to navigate through tracks.

3. Press and hold the Previous/Next buttons to raise or lower the volume.

FM Radio

1. Press the mode button until you hear the FM radio prompt. The LCD screen will display the letters FM and station numbers.

2. Press the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds to automatically search and store stations.

3. Press the Previous/Next buttons to manually search the stations.

4. Press the Previous/Next buttons for 3 seconds to navigate through stored stations.

Please note, the unit requires an AUX cable to act as an antenna. Without the AUX cable, reception may be poor.

USB/SD Input

1. Inserting a USB flash drive or a Micro SD card into the corresponding port/slot will set the unit to USB or SD mode accordingly and it will automatically begin playback.

2. Press the Previous/Next buttons to navigate through tracks.

3. Press and hold the Previous/Next buttons to raise or lower the volume.

4. Press the EQ button to set the sound mode to outdoor or indoor.

Please note, USB port can charge devices such as smart phones and tablets.

AUX Input

1. Press the mode button to reach AUX mode. The word AUX will appear on the screen and you will hear a voice prompt.

2. Plug in the included 3.5mm cable into the AUX jack at the rear of the unit. Plug the other end to any device with a 3.5mm output.

3. Press the Play/Pause buttons to start and stop music playback.

4. Press and hold the Previous/Next buttons to raise or lower the volume.

MIC Input

1. Plug a microphone into ¼˝ jack and the unit will automatically switch to MIC mode and you will see a microphone icon on the LCD screen.
2. Use the Mic Volume knob to adjust the microphone’s output volume level. Use the Echo knob to adjust how much of the echo effect is applied to the microphone output.

Charging

1. To charge the ROCKBOX simply plug the 12.6V adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the unit. Plug the other end to any standard wall socket.
2. While charging, the LED indicator (located to the left of the DC IN port) will be red. Once the unit is fully charged, the LED will turn off.
3. Charge time is 5– 6 hours. Be sure to fully charge the unit before first use.
