6.5˝ Outdoor/Indoor Home Theater Speakers w/Swivel Brackets
The Rockville HP65S series outdoor/indoor home theater speakers are built with heavy-duty ABS construction, making them durable enough to withstand even extreme conditions—they can literally be dropped from a roof without damage. Fully waterproof, these speakers are ideal for outdoor use in any weather and can be left outside in rain or moisture without risk. They’re perfect for patios, large backyards, and indoor setups, as well as commercial spaces like gyms and hotels.
Designed with rubber surrounds to minimize distortion, these speakers also feature a forward-facing bass reflex port for deeper, more powerful bass. Each pair delivers 160 watts RMS and 500 watts peak power, ensuring impressive volume levels. Our latest model includes gold-plated, spring-loaded push button terminals for easy and secure wiring.
Connecting your Speakers
- Turn off your amplifier or receiver to prevent any damage from accidental shorting of the speaker leads.
- Correct phase polarity is essential for accurate stereo imaging and bass performance. Ensure the red (+) terminal on your amplifier or receiver is connected to the red (+) terminal on your speaker, and do the same for the black (-) terminals.
- Connect one speaker at a time to confirm the correct left and right channel connections. Make sure all wires are securely fastened.
- If you experience excessive bass or a strong central image focus, double-check your connections to ensure proper polarity.
Mounting
- Remove the bracket from the speaker and hold it against the mounting surface. Use a level to ensure it is properly aligned. Mark the locations for the two screw holes, making sure to mark all holes to securely attach the bracket. Note: these speakers can be mounted horizontally or vertically.
- Remove the bracket and drill holes at the marked locations. If you are not drilling into a stud, use anchors for added support.
- Gently pull the speaker wire through the large circular hole in the center of the bracket. Position the bracket on the mounting surface, aligning the holes, and secure it using the provided hardware.
- Mount the speaker onto the bracket and tighten the mounting knobs slightly. Test the speaker to ensure it is functioning and in phase. Adjust the speaker to your desired angle.
- Hand-tighten the bracket knobs, avoiding power tools to prevent over-tightening and potential thread damage. Double-check to ensure that the installation is secure and safe.
