Setup Guide
Connecting a Microphone:
- Remove the rubber padding on top of the speaker.
- Plug in your microphone using a female XLR to ¼-inch cable:
- Insert the female XLR end into your microphone.
- Insert the ¼-inch end into the mic input on the speaker.
- Adjust the mic volume by pressing the mic volume button and using the main volume wheel (LCD screen will display volume level).
- Turn on the microphone, and your voice should be heard through the speaker.
- (Optional) Add an echo effect:
- Press the Echo button and use the middle adjustment wheel to control the effect.
Connecting a Guitar:
- Take a ¼-inch cable and plug one end into your guitar.
- Plug the other end into the guitar input on the speaker.
- Adjust the guitar volume:
- Turn up the guitar volume knob on the speaker.
- Adjust the guitar’s volume as needed.
- Play your guitar and hear it through the speaker.
Tip: You can connect both your microphone and guitar at the same time, making it ideal for street performances and live jams.
Recording Audio to a USB Flash Drive:
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port.
- Press and hold the Record button to start recording audio from your microphone or guitar input.
- Speak or play your instrument.
- Press the Record button again to stop recording.
- You can play back your recording using the playback controls.
Note: The speaker creates a new folder on your USB flash drive, allowing you to access and transfer files to a computer easily.
Playing Music Through the Speaker:
You can play music using multiple input options:
- AUX Input – Connect an MP3 device using an AUX cable.
- USB Drive – Play music stored on a USB flash drive.
- Bluetooth – Stream music from a smartphone or tablet.
Connecting via Bluetooth:
- Press the Mode button until the speaker enters Bluetooth mode.
- On your smartphone or tablet, go to Bluetooth settings.
- Search for RocknGo 800 and select it to pair.
- A sound will confirm that the devices are connected.
- Start playing music from your device.
Tip: Use YouTube to find karaoke versions of songs or instrumental backing tracks to sing or play along with.
Using Mic Priority Mode:
Mic Priority Mode is useful for announcements and speeches, as it automatically lowers music volume when you speak into the microphone.
- Press the Mic Priority button to activate the mode.
- Speak into the microphone – the background music will lower automatically.
- Press the Mic Priority button again to disable it.
Using TWS (True Wireless Stereo) to Pair Two Speakers:
You can pair two RocknGo 800 speakers to create a stereo sound setup.
- Pair your first speaker to a Bluetooth device as described above.
- Turn on the second speaker and switch it to Bluetooth mode.
- Go back to the first speaker and press the TWS button (LCD will display "BTST").
- Once the speakers connect, you’ll hear a confirmation sound.
- Adjust volume on both speakers and enjoy stereo sound.
Note: TWS mode only works for Bluetooth music playback and does not transmit microphone or guitar input between the two speakers.
Activating LED Light Effects:
- Press the LED button to turn on the built-in LED light effects.
- The LEDs cycle through colors and react to music, microphone, or guitar input.
Additional Controls & Features:
- Wireless Remote: Control playback, EQ settings (bass & treble), and volume.
- Mode Button: Switch between Bluetooth, AUX, and USB inputs.
