This compact and powerful moving head features multiple control modes, including Auto, Sound-Activated, Master-Slave, and DMX, giving you full creative control over your light show.

Step 1: Setting Up the RockOn-7

1. Unbox the light and check the accessories.
2. Plug in the power cable to the power input on the back of the unit.
3. Attach the DMX cables (if using a DMX controller).
4. Position the light:
   • On the floor: Rubber feet allow stable placement for wall-washing effects.
   • On a truss or T-bar stand: Use the included bracket to attach a lighting clamp.

Step 2: Using the Built-in Control Panel

Below the LED display, you'll find four buttons:

• MENU – Navigate through settings.
• UP/DOWN – Adjust parameters.
• ENTER – Confirm selections.

Alternatively, you can use the included remote control for quick adjustments.

Step 3: Control Modes

1. Auto Mode (Preset Light Show)

• The light runs through pre-programmed movements and color changes.
• Use the remote or control panel to select different auto sequences.
• Adjust brightness and color transitions.

2. Sound-Activated Mode

• The light reacts to music and sound cues using its built-in microphone.
• To activate:
  1. Select Sound Mode from the menu.
  2. Adjust sensitivity using the remote or DMX.
  3. Make a loud noise or play music—the light will respond accordingly.

3. Strobe Mode

• Press Strobe on the remote to activate.
• Adjust strobe speed using the control panel or remote.

4. Master-Slave Mode (Sync Multiple Lights)

• Use when connecting two or more RockOn-7s.
• One light is set as the Master, and others follow its movements.
• Setup:
  1. Connect a DMX cable from the DMX Out of the Master unit to the DMX In of the Slave unit.
  2. The Slave light will automatically sync with the Master.
  3. Confirm the Slave light’s display shows a flashing SLAVE indicator.

5. DMX Mode (Full Programming)

• Offers complete control using a DMX controller (e.g., Rockville Rockforce 384).
• Uses 16 DMX channels for precise programming.

Connecting to a DMX Controller:

1. Run a DMX cable from the controller to the DMX In of the first light.
2. Daisy-chain additional lights using DMX Out.
3. Assign DMX addresses in the menu.
4. Use DMX channels to control movement, colors, dimming, and effects.

Step 4: Mounting Options

• Floor Placement (for up lighting/wall-washing).
• Truss Mounting (attach to a T-bar or lighting truss using the included bracket and a clamp).
• Ceiling Mounting (position upside down for stage performances).
