Introduction
This guide will walk you through the setup and operation of the Rockville Battery PAR 6RF, a rechargeable wireless DMX PAR light. We’ll cover charging, mounting options, lighting modes, remote operation, DMX control and master/slave configuration to help you get the most out of your light.
What's Included:
✅Battery PAR 6RF Light (available in black or white)
✅Dual Bracket (for mounting or angling the light)
✅Power Cable (for charging or direct power use)
✅RF Remote (for wireless control; 50-100 ft range)
Setup Guide
A.) Charging the Battery
-
Connect the power cable:
- Plug the female end of the power cable into the light.
- Plug the male end into a wall outlet.
-
Monitor the LED indicator:
- A red LED will indicate charging.
- A green LED means the battery is fully charged.
-
Charging time:
- A completely drained battery takes up to 5 hours to fully charge.
- Once charged, the light can operate for 10 to 15 hours*, depending on the mode and brightness level.
- Using lower frequency static colors (e.g. red / green) will drain battery much slower.
- Using higher frequency static colors (e.g. violet / white) and color-changing modes will drain the battery much faster.
*Battery life expectancy has been adjusted since the creation of this support video.
B.) Attaching the Dual Bracket
- Align a washer piece with the hole on the inside of the bracket.
- Insert one of the hand-tightening screws through the hole of the bracket.
- Align the screw with the mounting hole on the light.
- Tighten the screw to secure the bracket.
- Repeat on the other side of the light.
C.) Mounting Options
Wall Washing Setup:
- Using the Rubber Feet: Place the light flush against the wall for an upright beam.
- Using the Dual Bracket: Position the light a few inches away from the wall and angle it upward for a wider wash effect.
Truss / Pole Mount Setup:
To mount the Battery PAR 6RF on a truss or speaker stand pole, you’ll need a lighting clamp (e.g., Rockville LC70: Heavy Duty C-Clamp).
- Remove the hex-bolt from the lighting clamp.
- Insert the bolt through the holes on both brackets so the threads are facing outward (away from the light).
- Align the screw hole on the outside of the clamp with the threads from the bolt.
- Secure the clamp onto the bracket by tightening the bolt.
- Loosen the clamp’s butterfly screw until wider than truss / pole diameter.
- Position the clamp on your truss or speaker stand pole.
- Tighten the butterfly screw to lock the light in place.
Pro Tip: Since the Battery PAR 6RF is wireless, no power cables are needed when mounting.
Totem Stand & DJ Facade Setup:
- For DJ Booths or Facades (e.g., Rockville RAPFA, RFAA, RockBooth Series): Place the PAR light inside the façade for an illuminated effect.
- For Totem Stands (e.g., Rockville RTP Series): Lift the scrim and place the light in the middle of the stand.
D.) Choosing a Light Mode
Navigating the Light’s Menu:
- Mode Button: Cycles through different modes.
- Up / Down Buttons: Adjust brightness, color, or speed settings.
- Enter Button: Confirms selections.
