BATTERY PAR 50: How To Use The Remote

Introduction

The Rockville Battery PAR 50 can be controlled using a wireless remote, making it easy to adjust settings without using a DMX controller or Master-Slave mode. This guide will walk you through setting up and using the remote to control your lights.

Enabling IR Mode on the Light

Since the remote operates using infrared (IR) technology, you must ensure that IR mode is turned on for the light to respond.

How to Enable IR Mode:

1. Go to the back of your Battery PAR 50.
2. Navigate to the IR mode setting; Ir.on / Ir.of.
3. Use the Up / Down buttons to turn it ON.
4. Press Enter to save the change.

Troubleshooting:

• If your remote isn’t working, check if IR mode is off and turn it back on.
• IR requires line of sight, so ensure the remote is pointed directly at the light.
• If you have multiple lights, you’ll need to aim at each one individually for changes to take effect.

Remote Control Functions

1	Brightness ⇧ / ⇩	~Used to increase or decrease brightness for static colors. ~Used to control effect speed for FLASH, STROBE and FADE modes.
2	Base Colors	4 Buttons; Select Red, Green, Blue or White.
3	12 Popular Color Selections	Red-Orange, Yellow-Green, Turquoise, Orange, Teal, Deep Blue, Amber, Alt-Green, Purple, Yellow, Deep Green, Pink
4	OFF	Turns LEDs off completely. (Blackout) Please note: This does not power down the light.
	ON	Turns LEDS back on after Blackout, and returns them to previous function. The POWER switch on the back of the light must be used to fully power on / off the light.
5	FLASH	Cycles automatically between colors. Brightness ⇧ / ⇩ controls speed.
6	STROBE	Strobe Effect → Brightness ⇧ / ⇩ controls speed.
7	FADE	Fades smoothly between colors. Brightness ⇧ / ⇩ controls speed.
8	SOUND	Reacts to sound and music.

1. Brightness Control: Brightness Up/Down Buttons – Adjusts the overall brightness of the light.
2. Basic Color Selection: Red, Green, Blue, and White Buttons – Quickly set the light to primary colors.
3. Advanced Color Selection: Custom Color Buttons – Allows you to choose from 12 pre-programmed custom colors.
4. Power Control: ON/OFF Buttons – Turns the bulbs of the light on or off.

• Note: This does not fully power off the light—you must use the power switch on the back for that.

5. Flash (Color Change) Mode: Cycles through different colors.
6. Strobe Mode: Produces a strobe effect.
7. Fade Mode: Smoothly fades between colors.
8. Sound Mode: Reacts to sound and music.

Speed Adjustment:

• When using Flash, Strobe or Fade Mode, you can adjust the speed using the Brightness buttons:
  • Increase Speed – Press the brightness up button.
  • Decrease Speed – Press the brightness down button.
