Introduction
The Rockville Mini IR4 comes with a wireless IR (infrared) remote that allows you to control the lights with ease. Whether your lights are set up in Master/Slave mode or being controlled individually, this guide will help you navigate the different functions of the remote.
Remote Control Guide
A.) Using the Remote Without Master/Slave Mode
- Deactivate the light's Master Mode setting:
- Press the Mode button until you see IR on or IR oFF.
- If you see MASTER on, use the Up or Down button select MASTER oFF.
- Press the Mode button until you see IR on or IR oFF.
- Make sure IR Remote response is Active (to use remote control):
- Press the Mode button until you see IR on or IR oFF.
- If you see IR oFF, use the Up or Down button select IR on.
- Press the Mode button until you see IR on or IR oFF.
- Point and Control – Now you can use the remote to adjust settings individually for each light.
- The IR sensor is on the top side of the light near the display, so aiming the remote toward this area will be most effective.

B.) Using the Remote With Master/Slave Mode
- All lights must be properly set up as per our Master/Slave Setup Guide.
- Only the Master light will receive remote signals.
- Be sure to point the remote at the IR sensor on the Master light.
- The Slave lights will follow the settings of the Master light automatically.

The Mini IR4 wireless remote is divided into different sections based on functionality:
1. Brightness Control ~ Top Section
- Adjust the overall brightness of the lights in any mode.
2. Blackout ~ Top Section
- Turns LEDs off completely. (Please note: This does not actually power down the light.)
3. On / Reactivate ~ Top Section
- Turns LEDS back on after Blackout, and returns them to previous mode / function.
4. Wireless Group ID ~ Red Section
- Select 1 of 7 Wireless Group ID options using the Up / Down Wireless Group buttons.
5. App Group ~ Yellow Section
- Select 1 of 4 App Groups options using the Up / Down App Group buttons.
6. Sound Mode Control ~ Blue Section
- a. Activate Sound Modes 1 through 4 to sync light changes to music or sound.
- Sound - Color Cycle
- Sound - Color Pulse
- Sound - Color Strobe
- Sound - Color Cycle / Pulse / Strobe
- b. Adjust Microphone Sensitivity:
- Increase sensitivity for more responsiveness to quieter sounds.
- Lower sensitivity to make the lights react only to louder sounds.
7. DMX / Slave Mode Control ~ Green Section
- a. Switch between setting the light's DMX Address and DMX Channel Mode.
- b. Modify the DMX Address (0 ~ 512) or DMX Channel Mode (6 / 10).
8. Auto Mode Control ~ Purple Section
- a. Select preset effects such as:
- Jump mode (fast color switching).
- Fade mode (smooth color transitions).
- b. Adjust the speed of these effects using the Up / Down speed control buttons.
9. Strobe Mode ~ Gray Section
- a. Activate strobe effects using the Strobe button.
- b. Adjust the speed of the strobe using the Up / Down speed control buttons.
10. Color Adjustment ~ Gray Section
- a. Use the Color Bank to scroll through 48 different shades.
- b. Fine-tune each color's intensity:
- Lower intensity for a lighter shade.
- Increase intensity for a darker shade.
11. Color Selection ~ Gray Section
- Directly select colors: Red, Green, Blue, White, Amber, UV.
