BATTERY PAR 61: How To Set Up & Use

Introduction

The Rockville Battery PAR 61 is a rechargeable RGBWA+UV LED PAR light designed for versatile lighting setups. Setup Guide

A.) Attaching the Dual Bracket

1. Take the dual bracket and insert the two screw knobs through the holes on both sides.
2. Slide the washer pieces onto the screws.
3. Align the bracket with the screw holes on the sides of the light.
4. Tighten the screw knobs to secure the bracket in place.

B.) Floor & Wall Setup Options

• Wall Washing Setup: 
  • Place the light flush against the wall using its rubber feet for a vertical wash.
  • To angle the light, use the dual bracket and position the light a few inches away from the wall.
• DJ Façade & Totem Stand Setup: 
  • For DJ Facades: Place the PAR light inside the façade for an illuminated effect.
  • For Totem Stands (e.g., Rockville RTB32, RPT82): Lift the scrim and place the light in the middle of the stand.

C.) Truss / Pole Mounting Setup

To mount the Battery PAR 61 on a truss or speaker stand pole, you’ll need a lighting clamp (e.g., Rockville LC70: Heavy Duty C-Clamp).

1. Remove the hex-bolt from the lighting clamp.
2. Insert the bolt through the holes on both brackets so the threads are facing outward (away from the light).
3. Align the screw hole on the outside of the clamp with the threads from the bolt.
4. Secure the clamp onto the bracket by tightening the bolt.
5. Loosen the clamp screw until wider than truss / pole diameter.
6. Attach the clamp to a truss or speaker stand pole.
7. Tighten the screw to secure it.

D.) Charging the Battery

• Plug the included power cable into the light and connect it to a wall outlet.
• The LED charging indicator will light up.
• A full charge takes about 5 hours when the battery is completely dead.
• On a full charge, the battery lasts 10 to 15 hours*, depending on the mode and brightness level. 
  • Using lower frequency / intensity static colors (e.g. red, green) will drain battery much slower.
  • Using color-changing modes and higher frequency static colors (e.g. violet, white) will drain the battery much faster.

E.) Light Control & Modes

The Battery PAR 61 features various built-in modes that can be accessed through:

F.) DMX Control

Setting Up DMX Control:

1. Connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller to the DMX IN on the first Battery PAR 61 light.
2. Turn on the light.
3. Press the Mode button until you reach the DMX Address; A001 ~ A512.
4. Use the Up / Down buttons to set the address to the address indicated by your DMX controller.
5. Press Enter to save.
6. Press the Mode button until you reach Chnd.
7. Press the Enter button to select Channel mode.
8. Use the Up / Down buttons to choose between 6-channel and 10-channel DMX modes: 
   • 6-channel mode: Controls each color separately.
   • 10-channel mode: Includes color control plus effects like strobe and fade.
9. Press Enter to confirm.
10. Adjust the faders on the DMX controller to control different light parameters:

G.) Master/Slave Mode

If you want multiple lights to sync together (no DMX controller needed):

1. Connect a DMX cable from the DMX OUT of the first light (Master) to the DMX IN of the next light (Slave).
2. Set all lights to 10CH DMX mode.
   • Press the Mode button until you reach Chnd.
   • Press the Enter button to select Channel mode.
   • Use the Up / Down buttons to select 10ch; for 10-Channel DMX mode.
   • Press Enter to save.
3. Set Slave light(s) to DMX Address: A001.
   • Press the Mode button until you see Addr.
   • Press Enter to modify the setting.
   • Use the Up / Down buttons to set the DMX address to A001.
   • Press Enter to save.
4. Repeat the steps for each additional Slave light (using the DMX OUT from the previously connected Slave) and all Slave light(s) will follow the Master.
5. Use the IR remote or onboard buttons to control the Master, and the Slave(s) will follow it. 

1	Brightness ⇧ / ⇩	~Used to increase or decrease brightness for static colors. ~Used to control effect speed for AUTO, STROBE and FADE modes. ~Used to scroll through preset static colors after pressing 0 button. ~Used to scroll through 4 SOUND mode variations.
2	OFF	Turns LEDs off completely. (Blackout) Please note: This does not power down the light. The POWER switch on the back of the light must be used to fully power off the light (and back on as well).
	ON	Turns LEDS back on after Blackout, and returns them to previous function.
3	R / G / B / W	Buttons for Base Colors; Red, Green, Blue, White.
4	A / UV	Buttons for Amber or UV/Purple.
5	Color Wheel	Press 0 button → Brightness ⇧ / ⇩ scrolls through colors.
6	AUTO	Cycles through colors → Brightness ⇧ / ⇩ controls speed.
7	STROBE	Strobe Effect → Brightness ⇧ / ⇩ controls speed.
8	FADE	Fades between colors → Brightness ⇧ / ⇩ controls speed.
9	SOUND	4 Sound Modes → Brightness ⇧ / ⇩ scrolls through SoU1 ~ SoU4.  Sensitivity adjusted via Settings menu.
