Installation

Installing the RRF4 is quick and easy but there are some things you should know ahead of time in order to further facilitate your installation.

A rack space is 1.75" from top to bottom.
Equipment height is stated in Rack Units of 1.75", so most rack mountable equipment has a height of 1.75" times the number of rack units (i.e. 1U, 2U, 6U, 10U, etc.).
- 1U means that it is 1.75" tall.
- 2U means that it is 3.5" and so on.
The standard width of most racks is 19".
Be sure to choose a proper depth rack.
Make sure your rack is properly balanced; mount heavier stuff at the bottom and lighter stuff at the top.
Make sure to allow for proper airflow.
