Introduction
The Rockville Mini RF4 Charge Package includes multiple lights that can be grouped and controlled independently using the Color Group function. This allows you to create dynamic lighting effects with separate groups, all controlled from a single remote.
This guide will show you how to:
- Assign lights to different groups
- Control each group separately
- Control all lights at once
Step 1: Assigning Lights to Color Groups
Each Mini RF4 light can be assigned to one of four Color Groups:
- Red
- Green
- Yellow
- Blue
For this example, we’ll create two groups:
- Group 1 → Red
- Group 2 → Green
How to Set Lights to a Color Group
- Turn on all lights.
- Press the power button once to cycle through the Color Group options.
- Stop when the Color Group LED displays the desired color.
- Repeat for the second group, selecting a different Color Group.
Step 2: Controlling Each Group Separately
Once the lights are grouped, you can control them using the RF Group button on the remote.
1. Selecting a Group on the Remote
- Press the RF Group button on the remote.
- The LED on the remote will flash, cycling through the available groups:
- Flashing Red → Controls Red Group
- Flashing Green → Controls Green Group
- Flashing Yellow → Controls Yellow Group
- Flashing Blue → Controls Blue Group
- Stop when the remote’s LED matches the group you want to control.
2. Adjusting the Light Settings for Each Group
- After selecting a group, use the remote buttons to change colors, modes, and brightness for that group.
- Switch between groups using the RF Group button.
Step 3: Controlling All Lights at Once
If you want to change all lights at the same time, regardless of their Color Group:
- Press the RF Group button on the remote until the LED flashes white.
- Now, any changes made with the remote (color, mode, brightness) will apply to all lights, no matter which Color Group they belong to.
This is useful for instantly syncing all lights to the same settings.
Conclusion
The Color Group function in the Mini RF4 Charge Package allows you to:
- Independently control groups of lights
- Easily switch between groups using the remote
- Quickly sync all lights with one command
With this setup, you can customize your lighting display for events, performances, and parties with complete flexibility.
