BATTERY STRIP 24: How To Use The Remote

Introduction

The Rockville Battery Strip 24 can be controlled using the included wireless remote, allowing you to easily change colors, adjust modes, and customize settings from a distance. This guide will show you how to effectively use the remote to control your light bar.

1	ON	Turns LEDS back on after Blackout, and returns them to previous function.
	OFF	Turns LEDs off completely. (Blackout) Please note: This does not power down the light. The POWER switch on the back of the light must be used to fully power off the light (and back on as well).
2	⇧ / ⇩	~Used to increase or decrease brightness for static colors. ~Used to control effect speed for AUTO, FADE and STROBE modes. ~Used to control sensitivity in SOUND mode. ~Used to scroll through preset static colors after pressing the COLOR button. ~Used to set DMX Address / Channel Mode after pressing ADDR / CH.
3	AUTO	Switch between automatic color cycling modes.
	FADE	Activate automatic fading between colors.
	STROBE	Activate strobe effect.
	SOUND	Activate sound responsive mode.
4	MASTER / SLAVE	Set Master or Slave.
5	COLOR	Press COLOR and use the ⇧ / ⇩ buttons to cycle through popular static color options.

A.) Ensuring Proper Remote Functionality

Before using the remote, ensure:

• The light is in line-of-sight with the remote.   
  • IR technology (also used in TV remotes) requires a direct path between the remote and the light.
• You are pointing the remote directly at the back of the light.  
  • The IR sensor is located on back near the controls and display.
• The light is set to Master Mode (if it’s in Slave Mode, it will not respond to the remote).

Switching the Light to Master Mode:

1. Press the Menu button on the light.
2. Scroll to Master/Slave Mode.
3. Set the light to Master Mode.
4. Press Enter to save.

C.) Using the Remote to Control Light Modes

Basic Power Controls:

• ON / OFF Button: Turns the bulbs on or off but does not completely shut off the light.
• Main Power Switch (on the light itself): Completely powers the light on or off.

Auto Mode:

• Press AUTO to enable automatic color cycling.
• Use the Up / Down buttons to adjust the speed of the transitions.

Fade Mode:

• Press FADE to gradually transition between colors.
• Adjust the speed with the Up / Down buttons.

Strobe Mode:

• Press STROBE to activate strobing effects.
• Use the Up / Down buttons to change the strobe speed.

Sound Mode (Sound-Activated):

• Press SOUND to enable sound-reactive lighting.
• Adjust the built-in mic sensitivity using the Up / Down buttons.

Selecting Colors:

• Use the 9 Buttons; RED, GREEN, BLUE, WHITE, AMBER, UV, ORG (orange), CYAN and PINK to quickly select colors.
• Press the COLOR button to access various popular color choices.  
  • Use the Up / Down buttons to cycle through different color options.

Using Master/Slave Mode:

• MASTER Button: Sets the light as the main controller.
• SLAVE Buttons: Syncs additional lights to follow the Master light.

Setting a DMX Address or Channel:

• Use the ADDR button to select DMX Address Mode.  
  • Press Up / Down buttons to set the desired DMX Address.
• Use the CH button to select DMX Channel Mode.  
  • Press Up / Down buttons to set the desired DMX Channel Mode.
