Introduction
The Rockville Battery Strip 24 wash light bar can be controlled using a DMX controller, allowing for precise lighting control in live performances, stage productions and DJ setups. This guide will walk you through the step-by-step setup of your Battery Strip 24 with a DMX controller, including both wired and wireless DMX options.
What You Need:

Setup Guide
A.) Connecting the DMX Controller to the Light(s)
- Take a DMX cable and plug the male end into the DMX Out port on your controller.
- Plug the other end into the DMX In port on your first Battery Strip 24 light.
- For multiple lights, daisy chain them:
- Plug another DMX cable into the DMX OUT of the first Battery Strip 24.
- Plug the other end into DMX IN port on another light.
- Repeat this process for additional lights.
B.) Setting the DMX Channel Mode
The Battery Strip 24 offers multiple DMX channel modes, allowing different levels of control:

- Press the Menu button until you see Chnd.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to select your desired DMX mode.
- Press Enter to save.
C.) Setting the DMX Address
Each light needs a DMX address so that the controller can communicate with it properly.
- Press the Menu button on the Master light until you see Addr
- Press Enter to modify the setting.
- Use the Up / Down buttons to set the address to A001 for Scanner / Fixture 1, or to a different address corresponding to another scanner / fixture (specified by your DMX controller).
- Press Enter to save.
- Repeat this for all additional lights.
D.) Testing the DMX Controls
Once the light is set to DMX mode, turn on the controller and activate Scanner 1, or the scanner / fixture associated with the Battery Strip's DMX address. Now, you can control the light using the faders.

E.) Setting Up Wireless DMX (Optional)
For a wireless setup, you can use a Rockville DMX-WRE Wireless Receiver to connect with a Rockville RockForce W2 or W4 Wireless DMX Controller.
Configuring the Wireless DMX System:
- Turn on the Wireless DMX feature on the back of your controller.
- Set the Wireless DMX Signal Color:
- Press the button under the LED light on the controller to cycle through different colors.
- Select a color (e.g., Blue).
- Turn on the Rockville DMX WRE Wireless Receiver:
- Use a small item (like a screwdriver) to press the Power button.
- The LED indicator should light up.
- Match the Signal Color:
- Press the button on the receiver until the same color as the controller appears (e.g., Blue).
- Check connectivity:
- The receiver’s LED should flash green, and the controller’s LED should flash red.
