Setup Guide
A.) Attaching the Brackets
For Floor Standing or Truss Mounting:
- Line up the brackets on both sides of the light.
- Insert the screw knobs through the bracket holes.
- Add washers on the other side of the screws.
- Align the threads of each screw with the screw hole on each side of the light.
- Tighten the knobs to lock the brackets in place.
These brackets allow the light to stand on the floor or mount to a truss.
B.) Wall Washing
There are two main ways to set up wall washing:
-
Flush Against the Wall
- Position the light straight up against the wall for a uniform wash.
-
Angled for Spread Effect
- Tilt the light slightly away from the wall for a wider illumination spread.
- Adjust the angle using the brackets until you achieve the desired look.
C.) DJ Facade Setup
- Position the light straight up behind the DJ facade.
- If the facade has multiple panels, multiple Battery Strip 24 lights can be used to illuminate each section.
D.) Truss Mounting
What You Need:
- 2x Lighting Clamps (Rockville LC70: Heavy Duty C-Clamps 2-Pack recommended)
- 2x Battery Strip 24 Brackets (included with each light)
How to Mount to a Truss:
- Remove the mounting brackets from the light.
-
Attach a Lighting Clamp to each bracket:
- Unscrew and detach the wingnut from the outside of the clamp.
- Unscrew and remove the hex-bolt from the inside (using a wrench if necessary).
- Insert the bolt through the hole in the bracket.
- Tighten the clamp to sandwich the bracket
- Secure it by tightening the wing nut.
- Reattach the brackets to the light.
-
Secure the clamps to the truss:
- Loosen the clamps' butterfly screws to allow them to fit around the truss
- Attach the clamps to the truss, and tighten the screws to lock them in place.
E.) Powering & Charging
-
To charge:
- Plug the power cable into the Battery Strip 24's Power In socket.
- Plug the other end into a wall outlet.
- The Battery Strip 24's Power Out can then be used to charge an additional light.
-
Check battery level:
- The LED indicator will show remaining battery life.
- Once charged, the light can operate for 3 to 8 hours, depending on the mode and brightness level.
- Using lower frequency static colors (e.g. red / green) will drain battery much slower.
- Using higher frequency static colors (e.g. violet / white) and color-changing modes will drain the battery much faster.
F.) Light Modes & Remote Control
The Battery Strip 24 has multiple built-in light modes:
Using the Buttons on the Light
- Press MENU to navigate through modes.
- Press ENTER to select a mode.
- Use UP / DOWN buttons to adjust brightness, colors or speed.
- Press ENTER again to save changes.
